Success Story Highlight

VA and the Elizabeth Dole Foundation co-designed an initiative to offer free, short-term relief to Caregivers across the country. Together, they initiated the Respite Relief for Military and Veteran Caregivers program, which has now helped thousands of Caregivers by providing them with over 45,750 hours of free services, including assistance with housekeeping, meals, transportation, grooming, and more. This project helped validate that asking for and receiving respite care contributes to improvements in Caregiver wellbeing.
